Cracked 2014 E63 19" Wheel

Hi,
Has anyone seen or read anything recently about faulty or cracking E63 19" AMG wheels?
Had what we thought was a puncture yesterday but turns out to be a crack on the inside of the wheel where the tyre bead seals against the rim.
Any help would be appreciated.

Fairly common with 19" wheels - my brothers got an E350 Estate on the optional 19's and has cracked 5 so far! He lives in the middle of nowhere down some very country roads, so potholes are to blame. Luckily I get him a bit of a deal when he replaces them.

He has had all bar one repaired at the local tyre place and sold them on eBay though. He blames me for talking him in to them every time he/his OH knackers another one.

Wow no way did I think this would happen on the E63 wheels,

Out of the 3 c63s I've owned only one suffered from cracks in the wheel.

C63 wheel approx £500 2012 model
E63 wheel £999+vat 2014 model

Thought the e63 was better quality wheel seeing as it's double the price

I've had a wheel crack on a 6 months old E350 cab 61plate with 7000 miles on it, Mercedes did nothing about it they were not bothered.

Bmw replace wheels free of cost my brothers had about 4 wheels replaced out of warranty on his 335d

Car is at the dealers now. Are they really £999+vat?? That's madness!

W212 E63 wheels are forged, not cast, hence the price difference.
