ive been in contact with dms about remapping the c63. they have some nice figures 530bhp and delimit with expectations of 200mph. The thing is they are offering an option free of charge its the CLK63 black series throttle mapping anyone heard or had this done to there cat and what results please...

DMS do some great work. However, Eurocharged are the main players when it comes to mapping a 63.

Speak with either Eurocharged UK or MSL performance and you won't go wrong.

Mine made 534 BHP with a Eurocharged map and changed the car completely.....only thing is it will start you on the road of how much more power can you get ha ha......

I used them for my SL63. Great service/product and they come to you. Would recommend them and perfect for a standard car which doesn't need a modified map/dyno tune etc. They also offer to come back and remove/reinstall as and when required (service/warranty work etc).

If I remember correctly the CLK black series was 507bhp.

At the end of the day most maps are going to be fairly generic. MB restricted the throttle on the C63 to ensure it was not quicker than the E63. So a generic map basically opens the throttle to 100%.

Just depends on personal choice, and how close the tuner is to you.

Just make sure you get a before and after Dyno run on the same day, so you can see the "true gains"

Greg
Just remember we have all had work done by many tuners and we all recommend them.
I have used dms a number of times from 2000 onwards.
They have been very reliable for me and even bought back my tuning box 5 years later from my golf tdi.
The remap they offer is as good if not better than any other out there but not always as cheap.
My fiat abarth flies now, my cls biturbo is immense.
They remapped my c63's twice (on different models)
Whoever you choose, someone else will say their remap is better
Get a decent x pipe to improve the noise!!!!(as if) it will instantly feel quicker
Enjoy your car and
Welcome to the fold!

Also I know rob at dms fairly well,
530bhp will only ever give you 200mph with a force 8 gale behind you with Eddie the eagle driving downhill avoiding Ecains puddles!!!!!
I think the clk map is related to the shifts on the gearbox, I had it on mine and yes it was quicker
We all agree the mercedes boxes are not the quickest or most sensitive.......

As with any new car coming out it will be an improvement on the original, however it will take a while to be improved upon and even then will never have the noise of the c63, indeed many people in the know are buying the 6.3 in whatever form and keeping it as the naturally aspirated engine will never be equalled.

You should have a look on the MBClub forum...plenty of C63 advice on there.

Like the previous posts no matter what you get it will change the car completely.

After the re-map I would consider a LSD to help put the power down.

It's good fun modding on the C63 and you would be amazed how far you can go ( mines sat at 714bhp and getting ready for the next round of Modifications)

Will be interested to see what you think. Just purchased a 14 plate C63 with the LSD. Thinking a remap at some point in the future will defo be on the cards.
