Worth watching Harry's garage on YouTube on SL600, or did that get you to this point?

Buying for investment and no miles - London example

Buying to use - German example

On mileage and price; not sure if there is a big spec difference between the two?

Both big money for an R129, I think I'd check out the London car very carefully and bid them in the balls.

My 1st thought also.
Odd to see two V12s on pony wheels, can't have been std surely?
The london car is supposed to be registered in the UK but on continental plates. If you look at the top 1/2 of the door shut both cars seem to have the same aftermarket protector on the edge.

Well dodgy (and expensive) I.M.O.

The London based car on Belgian number plates has a stuck aerial and the rear lights seems to be different to the German based car.

same stereo (not sure whether those were original back then. Looks more modern)
Stuck aerial just means it needs cleaning and bit of oil. My S-class had electric antenna that did that.

In my eyes they have same taillights, which are I believe not in line with the year car was build. Did 1993 not have orange blinkers both front and rear??

The fronts should be orange on a "93" someone has either had a bump or replaced them to modernise the car, the rears look the same to me as well.
The stereo does look later addition,

It looks to me that the Pistonheads car has the tail-lights form the final facelift (post-98) which have two smoother horizontal ridges and the reversing light section clear.

The german car has earlier tail-lights with three more clearly defined ridges and all red (which I don't know are correct or not)

You're aware of this one?

http://www.avantgardecars.co.uk/viewcar/MERCEDES%2...

Needs gingers re-installing but otherwise looks good to me. "Full" leather, too (as opposed to half-full, presumably; or half-empty, I don't know. Anyway, it's got the leather dash, door trims, roof lining, leather everywhere).

I don't know whether you want LHD, of course.

Lovely car at avantgarde. Do prefer lhd. Hard to find something decent with a history that adds up.
Maybe open the search to 6 and 8 cyl
