Hi Folks, anyone own a C32 AMG? Views please!

I bought one about four months ago & absolutely love it. My thoughts on it so far are; that the performance is excellent and due to the subtle styling tends to slip under the radar (they're also quite rare - only 350 - 400 in the UK I believe). The handling is pretty good but I would personally prefer it to be slightly firmer & to stay slightly flatter through corners, although on a motorway run is very comfortable. I would say that the gearbox is probably one of its weakest points. When you're giving it the beans, either on a motorway or B road its great but when you're driving round town it doesn't feel very sophisticated & mine also suffers from the torque converter jolt (which apparently most of them do. Basically when you're slowly accelerating around town you get a slight jolt at about 15/20mph - almost as though its changing gear). I haven't had mine serviced yet so couldn't comment on the cost of that but due to the age of the car & inevitable depreciation I'll just be taking mine to a MB specialist which I expect to bring the cost down, and with regards to mpg on average so far I'm getting 24mpg (the best I've had was 29mpg on a 2 hour motorway journey). I did quite a bit of research before buying & I believe the main things to look out for is the gearbox radiator leaking into the gearbox which is potentially a huge problem & definitely worth looking into before buying (there is a fix which will need to have either been carried out or you will need to do), heated seats tend to go, the bearing in the supercharger can go (but can be replaced) & there can be a problem behind the dash which can be expensive to sort. Hope this helps - good luck with the search
Hi Mike, bought one of these in May & its not bad.
This has a had uprated Johnsons supercharger pump fitted as the merc ones seem to be a weak point, the supercharger bearing was rattling so I replaced it with a smaller pulley wheel.
Coming from a 4.5 Cerbera I have not been that disappointed with the performance & brakes are superb, the handling is nose heavy & you do feel it understeering when you go into a fast corner, although that may be exaggerated after the Cerbera (which had nitrons) & was excellent in the handling Dept.
Mine has had to have rear springs & the control arms replaced. The Mpg ...well better than the Cerbera but not much, probably me though, 17/18mpg town 24mpg @ steady 80mph. Other owner's seem to getting better mpg than mine so maybe I need a remap to suit the uprated pulley, by the way the pulley makes a big difference ...it makes the quite pointy, money well spent
They are a great bargain at the moment & your unlikely to have one looking back at you at the lights !
