Anyone had cracks in their AMG wheels? Do I go aftermarket?
Discussion
Having had a slow puncture, I replaced the tyres, only to continue suffering from a slow puncture...
It turns out that I have a crack in one of my rear rims so I have switched to a spacesaver for the meantime to be safe.
Now Mercedes Chelsea don't have any wheels in stock and in checking, there are none of the wheels in stock with Mercedes in the UK and they are in fact all on backorder! Mine is the C63 19" multispoke.
A quick trawl of the net seems to indicate that this isn't the first time this has happened, have many people had this problem?
I am sorely tempted to go down the aftermarket route and fit some high quality forged wheels.
Something like the Vorsteiner V-FF 101 (very similar to the 507 wheel design)

or the OZ Ultraleggera

Does anyone have any experience of these? Or any other recommendations. Repairing the wheels IMHO is not an option.

Decided that I like the original diamond cut wheels too much so have managed to acquire four brand new wheels!
Not exactly the best weather to be keeping them clean but just love the shine on the cut surface. Got the dealer to give the red calipers a thorough going over at the same time, makes the car look brand new again.
Placebo effect of new wheels has obviously resulted in a far better handling, considerable quicker and economic C63
