I'm keen and it's one of three in my next car list for this year.

Cheers Alex

I've recently purchased a black cls 500 with black leather. Had the wheels sprayed and new single grill. Car looks amazing and very impressed with performance. Now looking at making it sound like a V8. Took me nearly three months to find it. You will love one.

Yeah I love that grill too. I'm testing one on Monday and looking to buy in March. Putting the c55 AMG on hold I think as I love the cls look. Do you have a photo??

Also would be interested on what you do to make her sound better.
I took out the last two cats from my 320 and that made a nice difference. Was hoping the same on the 500.

I'm removing the resonator. It will make it sound great.

Had an 06 registered one for 3 years
In short - one of the best cars I ever owned
really well bolted together - good levels of kit as standard
things to consider
they are quiet - so if you want V 8 sound rather than interfere see if you can stretch to a late CLS 55 (they come from 15K) which have the AMG sound, lots of extra poke and even better kit (and the watch like dials are a beauty to behold)
automated bootlid and air suspension can fail and the supension can be expensive to fix
they are heavy - if you drive them fast they ll eat tires and brake components (especially if you have a non AMG version) - the AMG packet was available on all cars and contains wheels, brakes and paddle shifters
massage and cornering seat option is epic if you can get it
bose stereo upgrade is worth having
command not standard on pre 08 cars - which is nice to have
engines should be bullet proof - there are issues on early non amg cars whith an oil cooler (google valeo radiator failure on mb forums)
306 horsepower engine has less oompph as you might think - there is a 380 horsepower engine from 56 onwards which is again great but rare as hen's tooth - hence my suggestion of a 55 AMG - if you want to go in lower money wise consider a 350 with good kit (the difference between 275 and 306 horsepower is less then you might think and the V6 sounds not too bad....
insurance is not to bad if you are not too young and your hsitory is ok
for regular backseat use people should be under 6"
they are all silver and black so if you get a blue one you'll be laughing

this is a 6.3 and might be interesting, too (check why wrapped and why the front mask was changed - if accident or not...)

Then sitting in the back is like being driven in a private jet- great
drop me a pm if you want to know more
