Evening guys,
I'm currently negotiating a price on a new C-Class but would like to know what any owners think of the 19" wheels without Airmatic suspension. Considering I'm coming from two Subarus anything will have a better ride quality but I don't want anything too crashy.

If any of you have the standard sport suspension with the AMG Line models and the 19s please let me know what you think and the same goes for them with the Airmatic.

Cheers,

David

I test drove AMG trim cars on both 18 and 19in wheels. Couldn't perceive any real difference in comfort but the 19s where definitely noisier. Ordered a car with 18in wheels on.

All Mercedes C Classes are good petrol and Diesel except the 1.6 diesel as its a Renault engine that has neither the power or refinement to be in the car.

If you buy through Broadspeed you will get about 5k off list price and deal direct with a Mercedes main dealer.

With AMG line spec I would go with the standard suspension with 18" wheels as the 5 spoke alloys look good where as the 19" have I believe 14 spokes and would be a nightmare to keep clean.

Any further input on this issue? I'm in the same boat. AMG spec c class has become available but it's been species with the 19s over the 18s which I'd originally proffered. Again, no air suspension. I live in mid wales where potholes are fairly common, but equally I'd like a sporty option from the on board computer as long as there was a floaty cruising option for long haul, journeys. Anyway. Like the look of both. Does it really make a difference on ride?

Well it looks like I don't have a choice. The car I've gone for is already in production or at least the options are now locked down so I'll be rolling on 19s with AMG suspension and no AirRide.

Here's hoping that the Mid Wales potholes are kind to me.
