W220 S 500, command/sat nav........

I have just purchased a Japanese import s500L 2001 over here in Dubai, mainly as it was a/. cheap, and b/. fuel is cheap.

However......the sat nav/command unit is is Japanese, and therefore i cant read a bloody thing on the display.

Does anyone know if the language can be changed, or (more likely given the age) is there a decent aftermarket unit that can be fitted?

Vague as I can manage, new to Mercs, but any help greatly appreciated.

It's pretty straightforward to change to English, just follow these simple instructions..
