7G-Tronic Plus Issues and Exhaust Smoke

Recently picked up a new SL400. Lovely car except a few bits:

- The gear change down from 5th to 4th rocks the car - it's so jerky in comparison to others. Is this normal?
- On the colder days, the car will be expelling a fair bit of smoke out the exhaust at traffic lights and when pulling off for journeys over 30 minutes, despite being up to temperature. Is this normal?
- Start/Stop sometimes flashes as available then unavailable within the space of a couple of seconds. Is this normal?

Doesn't sound right. The 7g+ shouldn't have perceptible changes in normal usage. Smoke or steam?

Maybe it's steam....just never seen it on any other car once it's warmed up. Hmm.

Yes the 7G+ is a little disappointing at the moment with this issue.

The box is a cracker, should work seamlessly. Something sounds amiss, get the dealer to have a look I suggest.
