A bit of an exaggeration perhaps, but my 2013 C63 Coupe has developed a really annoying creak from the roof on the rear near side. I asked the garage to deal with at the service last month, which brought temporary relief, but it's back with a vengeance. - as soon as I hit some lumpy Tarmac (which let's face it is impossible to avoid), it starts up.

I'm sure it's not a unique problem, so any helpful thoughts/advice would be gratefully received.

Krytox spray. Fantastic stuff use sparingly and it kind of works it's way in. VW dealers sell it to deal with the EOS roof problems.

Three C classes in three years including a 2013 C63. They all developed the annoying creaking noise you describe.

Same here...2013 C63 Coupe and it's been in twice for the creaking roof (I should open it more, apparently, as it relubricates it (?)), the parcel shelf and is about to go in again for a squeaking drivers seat. I'm not even that, er, rounded.

If it had been any other car, and I mean this sincerely, it would have been changed a long time ago. The problem is I love the '63 to bits, it draws compliments wherever it goes, sounds great and is as practical as you'll get from a normally aspirated big V8. The RS4 (B7) came close but didn't have the theatre.

Gummi Pflege
Wierd name, but not a wierd product. Works wonders on creeky rubber seals / window seals.
Adored amongst SL/SLK onwers.

This is the best stuff for seals I've ever tried. Then I use Krytox on the interior, particularly good where plastics meet.

Good to hear I'm not the only one. There is so much that is right about the C63 (I don't know what I'd replace it with) so it's frustrating that silly things like the roof let it down. No sign of Mercedes admitting it's a problem and getting round to sorting a permanent solution...

Ive used the G Fledge stuff and it is good but, brought a bottle of Swissvax rubber and seal restorer and it's even better! £45 for a small bottle but it lasts really well.

Yep, it's totally normal on a C class, but the C63 with stiff springs and a glass roof is the worst. Mine went back and forth to the dealers multiple times but was never fully fixed.

My C350 coupe had the same issue and MB Stratford on Avon advised that lubrication of various parts of the pan roof was now part of the year 2 service. Whatever they did sorted the problem so worth enquiring with your dealer. I believe it involved taking the panels out of the roof as what would have been a 3 hour wait with the car turned in to it being with them overnight.

Pleased to say the C63 hasn't yet started creaking but as it's now 21 months old I'm sure it will soon...
