A160 (W168) gearbox in an A150 (W169) - will it fit?

Hi, Just been offered a 56 plate A150 5 speed manual from a mate as he lost 3rd gear, garage quoted him £1600 to have the gearbox rebuilt and £600 in labour which sounds a little pricey to me! then had the cheek to offer him £150 for the car. anyway, we were chatting and he said he'd probably have taken £500, so i offered him £500. Supposed to be collecting it on tuesday

I've been having a look on the bay for a gearbox and found one at £650, but noticed the A160 box from an older car is around £100.

So, would the older W168 box fit the newer W169? They look identical in the pics i've seen, and can fit it myself so wouldn't be paying labour (if it fits)
