I'm just getting used to my W204 C220 and also very impressed with the real world consumption it achieves in a variety of loading conditions.
I'm surprised the KPH dash allows display in MPG. When I noticed you had the temperature as the bottom display I was hoping you'd worked out how to deactivate the UK mode.

Like you, getting one's head around the control system takes a while. All the 204 series allow you to change from kph to mph, you can change the language, and in fact I am told that to register the car in the UK you don't even need to change the speedo since you can run it digitally in mph using the buttons on the wheel. I've done it myself while in the UK. Tyre pressure monitoring, turning off the automatic self-locking - there are just so many options available. But don't get me started on the Becker GPS which I find just appalling. It beeps for radar at every bridge and breakdown exit on the motorway - but missed several fixed radars. Nor the stupid positioning of the iPlayer or USB sockets!
I've got COMAND, as I needed the sunroof for when I park with Lola the Labrador in the car, so the pack which included the roof and COMAND made sense (at least using man maths). Although the integrated system is convenient, it still trails my couple of year old Garmin. In some ways I don't find it as good as the ancient Volvo system.
I find the PocketGPS world camera alerts can work well, when set active, giving a single bong before a camera.
