After owning several TVR's I've gone for a SLK55AMG. Fantastic car and loving it so far.
I have a slight concern on service intervals. It is coming upto 2 years since the last service. It has done less than 4k miles in that time. On the menu display it say's next servive (C)due in 7k miles. I will only be doing upto 5k miles in it this year.
Can I wait possibly 3 years before a service?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just service the bugger. Its £500. A 55 is not something to scrimp on.

Personally I would get a basic service done every year Stephen. Shouldn't cost too much. I won't have done 7k by November when my D service is due but it should really have a yearly check over.

Thanks MrM. Good advice and in line with what I was thinking.

Presumably yours is on the variable service schedule. I don't know how old yours is but, as far as I am aware, MB changed to 15000miles or 12 months, whichever comes first, in about 2009.

If it was me, I'd have it serviced annually, even if it's only a minor one.

There seem to be quite a few ex-TVR owners switching to AMGs.

And we are all well used to annual, or more frequent, servicing.
I would always have an annual inspection at the very least for a sports car, goes with the territory.

Another ex TVR owner here.

Just bought my SLK55 at the weekend and I'm loving it.

Its like a very civilised TVR but still a hooligan when you want it to be.

I don't do more than 5K a year in mine.

As I have a full Mbsh it's still covered with mobilolife cover as long as it's serviced according to when the service indicator pops up or min every two years.

I do get the oil changed once a year.. always believed in preventive maintenance

Mine said it needed a Service 'A' after a year (and <4000 miles).

Was pleasantly surprised that it was only £150 from a reputable independent specialist.
