W126 jacking tube rubber bungs - anyone know part number?
Discussion
Stream of consciousness prompted by intermittent time wasting on internet:
That part number may be the "support for jack" (i.e. the thing you don't want): it's almost impossible to tell. I say that because Axxx9970x86 often is such a thing; but equally often it is just a "plug" See this list here: http://www.mercedes-catalog.by/originalparts/price...
Actually I am pretty sure I am wrong. This is what you want, but I still can't find a part number: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-Jack-Hole-Plug-...
I think the part number is A2018990008, described as a covering and priced at £1.19 inc VAT each here: http://www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk/index.php?opt...
Item 188 in this picture from the EPC for an early 124 (I reckon the plugs are the same on 123 and early 124, 126 and 201 chassis).

I am sure as I can be that the part number is A2018990008.

Got them from the Mercedes parts link you posted above Jonathan.
£12 for 6 incl delivery, sorted.
Have to say though - as you'd probably expect -the quality isn't as good as those on the W124. Thinner, and more plasticky than rubbery.
Still, they do fit and will do the job.
Thanks again.
