R230 SL500 'AMG Edition' - familiar to anyone?

As my Google-Fu has failed me I was hoping someone could shed some light for me.

I've been offered a 2008 SL500 'AMG Edition' that was (I'm told) specified/owned by Martin Whitmarsh whilst he was at Mclaren.

It doesn't appear to exist as a model as such but has a signed plaque on the centre console and little 'AMG Edition' badges on the front wings. I wasn't clever enough to take a photo of these I'm afraid but they're the top left and top right badges on this page:

HPI, CAP etc. pin at as an SL500 and the only 'AMG' pointers from the spec are:

AMG 19" SPOKED WHEELS WITH MIXED TIRES
AMG STYLING PACKAGE-FRONT SPOILER, SIDE SKIRT

Is this a special edition/order of any sort or just some ebay badges strategically applied?

It sounds like a 500 with the SL55 AMG kit on which you could order from the dealer when new.

It sounds like AMG option wheels and or styling. M 02 CL500 has the wheels from the factory, so maybe it's just had badges added.

The only way to check really is ask the main dealer to check the spec on EVA or FDOK whatever they're calling it now

It's a bog standard SL500 with eBay badges, either run away or pay no premium whatsoever.

No premium is to be paid for the first owner and no premium for the specification above an equivalent car.
