Hi,

I'm looking at C63's at the moment in estate format. Where do we all think prices will be in 6 months time? Will the new shape have had a big impact?

Thanks in advance..... I only ask as with my budget of 25k I'm struggling to find what im after so wondering if I need to wait a little longer!

If you wait longer, they will get cheaper.

Maybe a better question would be when do we think decent ones will be about for 20-25k?

That's a lot tougher to answer as the condition of many of these cars deteriorate with unsympathetic ownership.

There will be plenty of cars getting to that price point but you will have to hunt around to find one worth having.

C63 prices and depreciation is something I'm very interested in as well. I've been lusting after one ever since I heard that exhaust note for the first time back when they came out in 2008. Will be interesting to see what happens to values in the next few months as more of the W205 cars hit the road. Not in a position to buy yet and probably won't be for a while yet but it's on the list of cars to own.

The cheapest saloons on the market at the moment are around the £24-25k mark, 08/09 cars so pre facelift and nearly all with 60k + miles. Are there any big bills once cars hit that age and mileage? Some of the cars in that price bracket will be sketchy. The Motorhub one at £24,989 with 50k is one I wouldn't touch, not even with yours.

Surely the prices can only drop so much before they level out?

Its my view that long term the new C63 will have little effect on the rate of depreciation of the older one as they are completely different cars (other than sharing similar names).

Looking at the classifieds, the dealer asking prices for good specification/colour C63 507 edition have increased substantially over recent months.

The prices in my post above were based on classified adverts on PH. A quick look at Autotrader shows cheaper cars available on the market. I remember seeing a handful of them parked up at BCA Leeds a couple of years ago when I bought my XJR. Will have to ask my mate to have a look at how much they have sold for through the block recently.
