The age old question, but I thought I ask it now that A45, CLA45 (does anyone own one?) and C63S have been out a while and owners will have an idea on how the mpg of the new 'efficient' engines compares with the outgoing 6.2.
Can anyone shed any light? I'm still waiting for the 507 to come on the books (expected September) before I can get in it so I'm still researching where I can. Drove a C63S the other day and it's a pretty cool car but I can't justify the 70k+ price (with options) over 58k for the 507.

C63 6.2 = 19mpg averaged over 30 owners/cars
A45/CLA45 = 24.2mpg averaged over 7 owners/cars
Can't remember which merc forum I read this on. Everyone contributed tank to tank measurements and then someone calculated the lot.
Very useful so that's around a grand more in fuel each year based on 15000 miles for the 6.2A45/CLA45 = 24.2mpg averaged over 7 owners/cars
