Need a phone solution

I know this has probably been done before but I couldn't find anything via searches.

I just bought a 2006 E-class estate, but it didn't come with the bluetooth module.

Is there a cable that I can connect to the pre-wire directly to an iPhone 5?

or should I buy a cradle for a spare iPhone 3gs I have?

or should I just stump up and get buy the bluetooth module? If so where should I get it from mercedes seem to be about £100 more expensive than anything I have found on the internet or EBay.
