W204 C350cdi Exhaust Gas Temp sensor
Discussion
Is the temp sensor just a thermocouple and if so what would the normal resistance range be ? If I know that I should be able to measure the sensor and possibly simulate the sensor with a variable resistor and check the live data makes sense.
The DPF seems to have stopped re-generating and looking at the OBD live data the exhaust gas temperature is reporting -172c which seems a bit on the chilly side. I assume that for the DPF to clear itself the temperature has to be reasonably high before the system throws in some extra fuel but it never does as it never thinks it is hot enough. Is that a reasonable assumption ?
Also, a third question what would the part number for this part be ?
Thank you for reading this.
