CLA shooting brake 250

Has anybody driven one of these?

I am looking at getting one and before going for a test drive was wondering if anyone can share there thoughts on these cars.

is the ride harsh? or will it be softer than my E91 320.

I had a cla220 shooting brake (AMG Sport) on loan last weekend (potential new company car) and I quite liked it.

The ride wasn't harsh, although it did bottom out once or twice when 'making progress' along a bumpy road. I thought the interior was nicely laid out, the control (wheel between seats) for audio / phone etc, took a bit of getting used to, but the voice recognition on the navigation seemed to work OK. DSG gearbox was smooth.

If your large (fat), you may find the seats a bit too figure hugging. Space in the rear is OK, anyone over 5'6" may start to feel cramped though. Boot is OK for size, not a flat floor though.

I'm seriously considering placing an order. If you read all of the reviews, you will probably be put off, but I'd recommend trying to get an extended test drive. They are pretty exclusive (i.e. not very popular).

I had a CLA220 on loan for a week or so. Not a brake. All the same, it wasn't a very nice car. The ride is brittle, to say the least; the powertrain is unrefined and uninspiring; the styling quite severely restricts vision; and the quality of the interior design and materials is dreadful. "Mine" was even white with black wheels! I see lots of them about, so somebody must like them.
