Hello,

I'm going to look at a 320cdi which from the photos looks a little low.Any tips on checking the system even with out a fault message?

Advice would be greatly received.

Take your 4 fattest friends and a load of dumbbells to chuck in the boot.

A healthy airmatic system will bring the car up to normal ride height in less than 20-30 seconds. A weak compressor or other leaks could see it taking several minutes!

There is a button on the dash to raise the ride height. Operate this and see the car rise and fall.

If it is sitting equally low all around when sat and when running then it may have been lowered. This can be done by using adjustable links on the level sensors or electronically through the software.
