Hello All

Thinking about changing my A6 for a 3-4 year C class estate with a v6 diesel.

Can i have pointer for which options and possible issue I need to look for when viewing a car?

In general, W204 issues are pretty limited. Very solid cars. For the body, check the wipers and painted lower window trims, as they fade and (trims) seem to corrode. If you get the AMG pack, check for corrosion around the wheel hub area on the wheel face.

Issues that might pop up over time are faulty airbag warning (wiring in seatbelt mech. triggers this), and locked-up steering column (though this may have been resolved with the facelift cars). One last issue are faulty front shocks (at low speeds, dull clunk from front end); this issue seems to affect cars through 2012.

Motor has no real issues to watch for that I know of.
