Hi
I am looking about changing my A6 saloon to either a BMW 5 GT (random)or a merc e350 saloon. I have spotted a 2011 e350 with 75000 on the clock. With three kids I need plenty of space which the mercy has and I also like the idea of a 270 bhp family wagon. Does anyone have any advice about buying a used e350??
Thanks

The E350 should be 305bhp they're great cars & will eat up your stuff with ease the worst thing on these is that they can sometime develop rattles.

5GT is an impressive piece of machinery.... Will certainly be a more comfortable drive. Having spent time with both I can vouch for this.

I think the E350 of that age should have 265bhp... I am assuming you are talking about the diesel...

Hi
Yes I think the e350 is about 265bhp it is 2011 and has 71000 on it the gt is 2011 with 81000 on it, I like both both was thinking the mercy might more reliable? The thought of an 8 speed gearbox with 81000 is a concern?? Should it be??
Thanks for the relies

Sorry I thought you were talking about the petrol version, the gearbox will be fine just make sure the fluid changes have been done if you're unsure get this done & the gearbox should be fine it'll cost around £150 from an independent.

Great I think I'll look at the 2011 e350 models as they are sitting around the 14/15 k Mark. I want something fast and also reliable. Mercs generally have that rep, I'm intrigued by the BMW gt but I'm not totally convinced. The ones I've looked at on the internet looked lovely and they have lots of space.
