Had my 14 plate C63 saloon about 18 months now and have done roughly 10k miles on the OEM Yokohama tyres supplied with the car. I cannot believe how well these tyres have held up. I will admit I don't drive the car like a hooligan, no launch control starts and careful not to burn rubber from a standstill but spirited driving is something that I enjoy - road conditions allowing. The only other reason I can think of as to why these tyres have done so well is the optional Mercedes AMG differential that is fitted to the car. I find I get tremendous grip powering out of corners and rarely see the traction control light. Not a technical expert on these things but anyone else seen this sort of mileage out of the Yokohama tyres fitted to the 19" rims? When I bought the car I was sure I would be in for a new set after 5-6k miles. Think I will stick to the Yokos.

Ex demo with 2k miles on the clock - Yokos was OEM according to the dealer. Coming from M cars where MPSS is the standard I was horrified at first.

My 2013 Estate also came with the Yokohoma Advan Sport v103 as factory fitment on the 19 inch wheels. I agree that they seem to wear well and have reasonable levels of grip and tyre noise. However when I had to replace the fronts recently I discovered Yokohoma have a new improved v105 spec for the Advan Sport and this was on back order and way too expensive to justify these benefits over the Conti CS5P. I therefore went with the Continentals on the front and when the rears are done will replace these with the Contis as well.

That's very good indeed. The wife went through a rear pair of Continental 5P's in about 4k miles on her 2010 PPP. We've since fitted Michelin Pilot Super Sports in a wider 265 cross section. These seem to be holding up better but only time will tell.

My C63 Coupe did 17K on Continental before I returned it. I did motorway driving mostly hence the good condition of the tyres. Car is on sale with the dealer still on original tyres.

My wife drives the car mostly, I get to enjoy it on weekends when the kids are not in the back seat. Even then I tend not to rag my cars or track them (guess I missing out). So I guess it does get used fairly sympathetically compared to most C63s out there. When buying the car I heard a lot about tyres needing changing every 5-6k miles etc, thought it was time to put a positive story out there on this subject.

Sympathy is not something most of these cars get so I guess that's where the 4-5k rules comes from. I should really make a list of the C63's videoed on YouTube & Instagram doing burnouts and being treated like death, so that I can avoid ever buying one biggrin

I have Conti's on mine, the rears are around 6k in and doing fine.
