Spring health check?

I've had an email from Merc offering me a free healthcheck and some free* wiper blades, which is good, as I planned to buy some anyway!
Anyone had one? Am I just opening a giant can of worms where they batter me with "Must do" jobs that are really just advisories?

- They say 'free' but terms apply, no idea what those terms are...
Is your car still under warranty, and serviced by them? If so you have nothing to lose really.
If the check is free I can't see you being under any obligation to have any corrective work done by them even if it is needed.
It will only be a visual anyway so they will try and sell brake parts, tyres, suspension parts etc. I had one done at my request on a new to me car I bought at my local main dealer and they didn't try to sell me anything.
They commented on slightly uneven front tyre wear, slight play in a track rod arm but not enough to require replacing, and recommended a minor self repair job on a boot seal tip, and they did the check for free. They aren't all out to fleece you.
