E250 CDi / OM651 timing chain and bottom end DIY

I've done a lot of work on my cars myself (from basic routine things all the way to timing belts and a gearbox reconditioning).

My dads E250 CDi is giving some issues, strange noises etc. and I'd like to change the chain and bottom end bearings as a precaution.

Could anyone give me some advice or further material (service manuals, technical guides etc.) that would aid me in this?
