Not sure if this is a thread for here or Computers as it could be my phone or the car.

I've just bought a 13 plate C250 CDI estate (Command, mem package and pan roof, which is a pretty rare combo afaik); I'm otherwise really pleased with despite it sadly not having DAB, but I've found a really annoying problem when trying out streaming bt audio from my phone today.

Audible, Tunein or Spotify used to work well in the V60 I had last, although it wouldn't skip track on Spotify unless you set everything up in a particular order, and would sometimes open and start playing something in the native music App at the same time...

but in the C-Class, Spotify starts playing and the track information appears, I have volume control and access to the bottom menu on the screen, but after 5-10 seconds it pops up saying the source was paused. It continues playing but I have lost all control via the car. If I press the command knob down to supposedly Play again, it sends a pause to the phone and everything stops!

That said I think I might get a Pure Highway 400 anyway for DAB rather than paying stealer prices to get it fitted (or trying a DIY ebay job), the Spotify integration on that looks much better than using just the phone, then stream other apps with that. My phone is still running vanilla ICS, and I think it's the NTG4.5 version Command going by the model year.

Has anyone else experienced this?
