CLS 500 X Pipe/Resonator delete

Is that the same thing, i.e. the same part of the exhaust, wouldnt mind a bit more noise under acceleration but though I can manage a couple of hundred, I cant justify £500 on an X pipe, any ideas ?

Powerflow did me a cat-back system in stainless, including x-pipe on an E500 for £500 inc vat, fitted... suspect they would do x-pipe alone for less. I used the Bletchley one, there are franchises all over.

Torqueflow in Birmingham would do it for less, (next to MSL).

I should point out my £500 was everything from x-pipe back. Not just an x-pipe!

Anyone aware of anywhere Cheshire/Manchester way that does this kind of stuff ?

I did a resonator delete on an SL55 I had, it was loud but gave the exhaust a 'rattle' noise I didn't really like. Try and find lots of videos to be sure you like the sound!

Not got round to it yet, the exhaust specialist has stopped replying to emails !

If you want this done right take it to Eldin at EMP in St. Albans. Yes I know that isn't near Manchester, but simply chopping out the resonators and putting in a cheap quality X pipe is not the answer. You need someone who understands what the various changes do to the exhaust note and pressures hence performance and someone who can supply top quality pipework and understands how to weld it properly. That's Eldin!

Thanks for the tip but JP exhaust in Macc come highly recommended, they work on all sorts of high end stuff, just cant get them to call me back !

Its on hold until next year, just spent the money on a new PC, not using the car much at the moment anyway as cycling to work to get fitter, might see where I am in like march and get it booked in and done before spring.

I'm sure I posted on here before about having done one on mine. Not sure where the post went.

It does sound good. It's not loud like a Scooby/Evo/Cossy and doesn't drone on long journeys.

Best and cheapest mod I've ever done on mine. It opens it right up and makes it sound how I'd like to imagine they should be from new.

Will get Christmas out of the way and then contact them again, does need a bit more drama to the noise.

Need to sort the creaky ball joint out first, thats going to be fun when its cold
