Having recently sold my Jaguar S Type R I was looking for a high days and holidays car to sit alongside my new M135i daily driver - the BMW satisfies my lust for outright speed and as I have always admired the W215 shape the search was on.

I was looking for something other than the obligatory silver / grey leather combo and the car I bought popped up on Ebay.

Being sold by a Mercedes specialist with a 6 months warranty gave me some peace of mind, spec was good, about the only thing missing was the ventilated / massage seats. Full Mercedes / specialist history, about the only significant expense I need to incur is a new set of matched tyres but factored that in to the equation.

Not really had much chance to do any work on the car since collection with being on holiday and then straight back to Germany for work.

As I'm attending my first Mercedes Club event next weekend I took the chance to spend the day on it today- full interior clean with leather conditioned, engine bay clean and a full paint correction.

No sealant or wax on it - yet to decide on what to finish it with.

Only when machine polishing do you actually realise how big the thing is but very happy with how the flake form the Obsidian Black has started to pop

First impressions are very positive, feels like its built to withstand a nuclear attack - everything feels so solid, performance is adequate, clearly a lot slower than the Jaguar but its not what I bought the car for - hopings its going to be a long love affair

That's Lovely Andy

Some months ago I was seriously looking at a 07 LPG conversion one but I was going to use it everyday. The boss put a stop to it.

Lovely looking car.

Looks like it does have ventilated seats though?

Attended my first Mercedes Club event at RAF Cosford this morning I took the opportunity to pop down to Ironbridge to grab a few half reasonable pictures - very happy with how its looking after a pretty deep clean
