C220 cdi 150 bhp auto gearbox max torque....
Discussion
According to my VIN code, my 2006 C220cdi is the 150ps version with 340Nm of torque. It also states that I have the 722.699 gearbox fitted.....which is rated at a max torque of 330Nm. This makes no sense.
So I am now officially confused.
I was considering a remap that takes the torque up near 400Nm but I had heard reports of lunched auto transmissions in the C220 if you go too high. If I could nail down which gearbox I actually have it would help me make an informed choice as to wether or not to go for the remap. Any help would be appreciated.
Mine is fitted with the flappy paddle change on the steering column if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

I've seen this discussed on the MB forums before but never seen it explained apart from the suggestion that the higher power boxes use different friction material. IIRC correctly there's a big step to the higher power 220 box.So I am now officially confused.
