I've just bought an early 1990's W124 estate and am looking for a Mercedes specialist to sort out some issues
Any recommendations for a specialist in West Sussex / Horsham area?
Also, anyone had experience with Edward Hall Mercedes in Buckinghamshire?
I've looked at the list of MB specialists on this forum and none are particularly close
Thanks

It's worth joining the MBOC and they have a directory of member-recommended garages. I can't do it right now, but I'll have a look shortly to see if there are any in your neck of the woods.
As an aside, there's lots of expertise in the Barge 1-5 thread, so probably worth posting a photo and your question there.

I hear lots of love for Prestige Car Services, Horndean but that is just north of Portsmouth so not perhaps terribly convenient. Another R129 owning friend has had his car thoroughly fettled there and is very satisfied.
SS Motors in Weybridge are MB specialists and clearly popular. At least a two week wait for booking.
John Haynes MB down in Worthing looks like the place to go if you want to spank tens of thousands on a concours restoration.
I have heard of someone called Ian Matthews who sounded ok - there's a reference here in this thread (features CdG!!)

I visited Edward Hall and test-drove a car. I didn't end up buying it because it wasn't right for me but they weren't unpleasant or rude. My impression was that they are targeting the collector end of the spectrum - cars selling for decent five figure prices though rather than four... or six... or seven. Although there is a ramp in their shop, and some evidence of spannering, they were definitely more of a showroom and sales outfit than a crack lot of mechanics IMHO.

Another PH'er moonlighting on a different board - Hereward - was sending his SL600 there. Not seen his feedback but others seem positive.
