I've found myself looking at these recently, and would welcome any feed back from ownets (past or present).

I've also seen the Brabus 6.3 SL but know nothing about these. At circa 15k more than SL65AMG money, is it worth the extra ?

I owned 2004 model SL65 during 2011/13, was very fun car and bonkers fast. The engine really is centrepiece and 1000NM never gets boring.

A very fast cruiser and not sports car. Handling was fun if driven spiritedly, if pushed hard round tighter bends then weight showed and wasn't so fun.

Pukka MB warranty is essential. Mine was reliable and only needed rear drive shaft under warranty after it snapped.

They're good value and very rare, and a real experience.

I test drove 55AMG at time also and preferred the 65. Felt more special and that engine .... sonar

I own an SL55 and it's been a nice car. I bought a CL65 at auction about a year ago but had to file arbitration after I found electrical tape on the dash covering the check engine light (cheeky monkey). From my understanding, maintenance costs go up by an order of magnitude so be prepared to get your hands dirty.
