Hi all,

I have a C-class estate diesel that is due to be serviced on 15th May(according to in-car computer)
It will be returned in one year and two weeks (end of lease - MBFS).

Without issue, is it possible to service it say mid-June (i.e. is 30 days after OK from warranty/lease POV)?

I am hoping that in 12 months time, the service would still be due in June and thus won't need to be done prior to returning the car (and avoiding a B service).

Anyone have any experience in this?

Thanks.

Of course it is possible but whether you would be in breach of the terms of your lease rather depends upon the terms of your lease and nobody here knows what the terms of your lease are. I expect that if you read your lease you will find the answer.

Shop around and get it done on time. You may find yourself with fees to pay at the end of the lease if you stray from the guidelines

I am pretty sure you are allowed to go up to 1k miles over the due mileage and maintain the warranty cover so I would think there is some leeway on time as well.

I would be surprised if you can't squeeze at least two weeks but worth checking to make sure.

The other thing you can do is hand it back early.

But really.

I have had this issue a couple of times. This is what I do.

Let the service run 4 weeks past the date.

You should then be set fair for the end of the lease. They won't bother. Going 1000 miles/30 days past the service is fine, even with MBFS. So what with the above delay you also open yourself up with a nice cushion at the end of the lease.
