W211/219 Drop links ?

Got soem to change on mine, done the ball joints and track rod end, how do you do the drop links ? one bolt comes off easily but the other has the suspension leg in the way, is it a case of getting a hex key in and turning the 21 mm nut on the back, no room though.

I did the drop links as part of a suspension rebuild, but I doubt they can be done without disconnecting the bottom of the main strut to allow it to move out of the way to give the hex key access.
