y'see they're all useful in their own way. I used to spend a lot of may day keeping up with the various forums, don't get as much time these days.
The official club has possibly more of an old-boy stuffy feel, but the volunteers are committed and everyone is helpful. In my experience they have well run events and national balance. You get the main dealer parts discounts, insurance discounts, magazines etc. - it's easily been worth the sign-up fee to me in the savings on parts and insurance.
mbclub is a younger crowd, some on there are more into detailing, there are some meet-ups but I think it mostly centres around the forum. Occasionally you get some histrionics as on here, but generally again a helpful bunch. Olly's annual Benz on the green event and others organised by various specialists on there seem popular.
mercedesclub.org.uk - I gave up on this one, mainly just through volume I couldn't maintain watching all of them and this one was less appealing to me, at the time it did seem to maintain a good following though.
Others I've found have come up in searches for obscure fixes... benzworld, pelicanparts etc.
- only one I've spent money on has been the official club.
