Have you ever seen a c class with the chrome wire grill?

I am sure that most of you are aware of the trademark mb chrome wire grill that used to be on the c class and even e class before the facelift.
And it appears that the grill is only on the s class but I have never seen the same type of grill on a 15 -17 plate c class or on an e class.

It is available outside the UK. Other countries use that design for luxury spec models and the one we get in the UK with large star for sporty spec models.

Looks like they still use the "gun sight" as well.
Do any UK models still have that?

Mercedes UK does not bring E class or C class into the country with the non sport front end which includes bonnet star. They have decided that we deserve the AMG style sporty front end grill styling even on ‘basic’ models.
I think it is possible to convert cars using parts obtained from abroad, but I am not 100% sure.

The bonnet mounted star or gunsight is on the S class in the UK.

There's something about the old style grill for me. So much so that when I was looking for a W212 E63, I made a point of getting a pre-facelift model.

What do others prefer?

My car looks exactly the same as the one in the photo above, but with the UK "big star" grill.
I think I would prefer the standard grill and bonnet gun sight.

Have to have the cross hairs..... if just for the kids amusement of driving down the motorway going phht......phtt.......phht as you shoot the cars in front of you out of the way! (worked for a while as they did think I had a "special button" on the wheel)

There's a local C43 estate with the gun sight. Just a lovely looking car altogether in that burnt copper colour.
