I am now the proud owner of a 2012 E63 AMG and absolutely love the car, it's a beast.

One question I have is that the digital speedo seems to be accurate however the needle seems to be a few mph off, which in this car poses an obvious problem!

Thoughts on what could be the issue before I head to Mercedez....

How do you know which is accurate?

How much are they out?

Speed of traffic, the analog version is slower than the digital which seems to be correct.

Had a look at the speedo in my 212 today. It is not an AMG though.
The analogue and the digital speedo match exactly, well as exactly as I can tell as the analogue speedo is a bit hard to read with accuracy. With the cruise control set to show exactly 70 on the digital display the needle does point at 70.

Same for me, they both read the same throughout the legal speed range, ahem, and exactly 3mph faster than the sat nav speed at all speeds. (on my Tom Tom).

Love the E63, a bit envious wink

I have a W212 E63 and my digital and analogue speedo match up. As a previous poster has said can be hard to judge when accelerating but once I've settled at a speed, they read the same.

It looks like (I have no idea how) the numbers aren't lining up to the tacho where they should, almost like it's slipped!? When you set the cruise control the red speedo lines up with the dots for the active cruise control but the numbers themselves are off, most peculiar.
