Mercedes Dynamic Select on A/GLA class

Morning All

I currently using a GLA that has Dynamic Select allowing the steering and powertrain settings to be altered between comfort and sport. It seems to work as expected. However I was wondering that if a vehicle didn't have the magic button fitted what setting does it have?

I'm assuming it is comfort based, but would it be possible to make the powertrain more responsive when required?
