Hi,

My first post so be gentle!

My brother and I own my late fathers SL55, we intended to keep it forever however it no has to go. Although it has Merc history it is not full in the sense that I think its due a service every 12 months regardless of mileage but for the last 3 years the car has been in storage without one. Its not a due a service mileage wise for 7.5k as it was done shortly before storing it. I have regularly started the car and moved it around to prevent flat spots and cycled the ABC etc.

I guess what I'm asking is what would you do to prep prior to sale? Would you service it again or leave it as?

Cheers.

Depending on age the service intervals are either 15.5k miles or every 2 years, whichever comes first, or more recently every year or 15.5k miles. I think the change to annually was around 2011 ish.

The car will tell you.

Get it along to a specialist, have the car MOT'd and change oil, filters, fresh fuel, new plugs and get the tracking done. Then sell.

There are a and b services. Do the most exensive one as imo it would sell quicker

Get the service it requires by MB (A or B), it might just re-instate your mobilio cover if your lucky due to mileage hence FMBSH. I have experience with this on a 2004 S55.
