Would really welcome some guidance on how to link this up and get it working properly please?

If it’s anything like my 2019 c63s you can only do it by cable connection in the socket fore of the cup holders. My one has wireless charging there so you might think wireless CarPlay would be a thing but apparently not.

I had an issue with my E53 Coupe, i had to take my car to Mercedes to get it sorted out, the issue was due to the USB port not being wired correctly.

If your car didn't come with Apple CarPlay you can add it through the Mercedes Me App, it costs about £360 to enable it.
