Potential amg future classics

Obviously as most would know Bmw M cars are shooting up very quickly in value, it seems E46 m3’s as well as e39 m5’s are top favourites currently.
My question is will this take effect on same era Amg’s I’m thinking along the lines of clk55, c55,and e55 models, thoughts on this all opinions welcome👍

I think anyone buying an AMG as an investment needs their head checked though.
Any interesting car will appreciate gently over time, if it’s looked after.
My C36 cost me £5k thirteen years ago, as its market value is probably higher now. But considering I’ve sunk around £8k in maintenance and restoration costs into the car during my ownership, then it’s no investment.
Anything with ABC, SBC and the like will be significantly more bothersome as the years go by, so buy one if you want one, but not to make money.

E46 M3 and E39 M5 are two of those.
Other examples are Honda NSX, Integra DC2, Lancia Integrale.
My SLK55 is unlikely to ever reach that category: although it's a fun car with an oversized engine for the size of the car, it does not have the driver focused characteristics of the above.
The SLS AMG is probably the only one that meets those criteria in AMG terms.

Rare doesn't equal good. Its laughable compared to an E46 M3.I see it more comparable to the Alpina B3S. If you want the pendulum swung towards outright handling get the M3. If more towards comfort and refinement then the AMG.

Rare doesn't equal good. Its laughable compared to an E46 M3.The M3 is a great car no doubt, but the C55 appealed to a different type of driver and you could argue the two aren't really rivals. Obviously the later ones were.
