Mercedes E Class E350 CDI - Remap - Is it worth doing?

Seen some pretty impressive claims from the "tuners" regarding not only power increases but more interestingly, big improvements in MPG

Anyone remapped? Success or waste of time, money and potential damage?

Had my old E350 mapped at MSL, it made 297hp and 720nm,went like an absolute bd!
Ran it for 18 months with no problem at all.

Didn't really notice any difference in mpg.

Go for it!

Plenty of satisfied E350 owners on the Mercedes forums who have had remaps. Seems MSL and GAD are the favourite tuners for these cars.

As an E350 owner I have been looking into this for a while and it seems to me that the power and torque are significantly increased, but it is hard to find many owners who realised any significant MPG increase post a remap on these.

GAD remap here. Faster: yes. Improved MPG: no
