E10 petrol

I`m getting conflicting information, or am I just worrying unnecessary?

I have a 1997 R129 SL320 with the straight six 24V. Is it OK to fill up with normal E10, or shall I use super E5.

I've been using it in my 94, sometimes it's all you can get in rural France. I'm pretty sure the handbook says it's OK.
