G63 tyre options

Considering one of these (the older 5.5l) - is it feasible to simply swap out the low profile tyres for something capable of modest off road ability? Or will I need a set of different alloys as well? Current wheels are 20in, not horribly low profile but unsuitable for any scrambling I’d have thought…

My general answer is that if you keep the same alloys and just increase the profile of the tyres, then you will increase the car's gearing and the speedo will under-read, plus you might have wheel arch clearance issues. Any smaller alloys you fit will need to clear the (no doubt massive) brake discs.
