Ok, honest opinion time... I want one... desperately... and if I had the money to blow I'd own one already! I was fully prepared to buy one this year but losing my job (and therefore employee discounts) put pay to that. Im now struggling to find anything that comes anywhere near close while looking to spend half as much.
I was fortunate enough to drive quite a few over the years and sell a couple as well. I genuinely think its one of Mercedes all time greats!
There isnt much point in getting the 63, the 500 is more than good enough and more comfortable. I do love that 63 engine though. The facelift models take everything to a whole new level. An S560 Coupe is possibly the most comfortable car I've ever driven. Never got to try an S65 but I'd imagine that would feel even more special!
They dont go wrong a lot, the W222 has been pretty reliable, but they do cost a LOT when things do go wrong... they are complex and parts are rare for the coupes.
