2014 C250D Battery not charging

Car has covered 100k miles, just recently the battery not charging warning light comes on about 30 minutes into a journey, stays on until car switched off. Restart the car and it does not re-appear.

Ideas?

Happy to fix, but would like to eliminate things first, could be battery, alternator, drive belt I suppose.

Is the battery the original 2014 item? If so, you've done well to get 11 years and 100k miles of use out of it, and it's on its deathbed. Time for a new one.

Too busy watching the F1 yesterday to check, will look this evening. My GLE was still on it's original battery at just short of 10 years, pretty good, but a faff to change.

My C250 battery lasted all its time with us, 2010 to 2022, 157k miles.

Just ordered a new battery, was indeed the original date stamped late 2013. Very impressive.
