I'm looking for some info on how to install an oil temperature gauge on my C350 with the M276 engine.   Where do I fit the sensor and a gauge which will look right without screwing up the interior looks ?

Someone must have done it ! I could use an adaptor on the sump plug to fit a sender unit, but I'm thinking it would be better fitted somewhere where the oil is circulating ?

TIA
John

Is there a specific reason why you need/want a physical gauge for the oil temp?

It might be possible to get the information read out via the OBD port but I don't know for certain if it will be possible, there used to be suppliers out there for VAG models that made digital gauges and air vent pods for this type of read out also including some extra features.

If you do still want a physical gauge, look into the likes of Demon Tweeks or Stack Gauges and they will likely have a product that will work.

It would also be worth googling for guides on extra service/factory menus for your instrument cluster, you might find the data you desire is hidden in one of these menus
