2019 C43 AMG, Approved Used. Misting shock absorber
Discussion
Had my 2019 C43 in for an A service on Friday and over and above the service (done via the service plan i have on the car), they put two new suspension arms (dont know the details) in the car due to play in the joints - covered under the AMG Approved Used warranty.
They also picked up on one of the front shock absorbers is misting.
Now, the Warranty Manager was off on Friday so the service manager is going to talk to him on Monday RE: getting it replaced under the AMG Approved Used warranty on the car (2 year warranty, six months in to it).
Assuming they cover it under the warranty, as shock absorbers are normally replaced in pairs, whats the odds of them replacing both front shocks?
Its best practice to replace 2 at once from memory as otherwise you risk it affecting handling (which it almost certainly will).
Anyone had a similar experience?
Will they replace both?
If they say the one will be covered, should i push for the two?
Thanks in advance

Hi
Had similar issue on my GLE, shock needed replacing (under warranty) but they would only replace the faulty one. I did have a conversation with them about it being good practice to change shocks as a pair but they were not having any of it, so I had a shock that’s covered 40000 miles & a new one one the other side.
Before I bought the GLE I had a C43 estate, arguably the best car I have owned.

Yeah i've pushed them on it and the warranty will only cover the faulty one. Had similar issue on my GLE, shock needed replacing (under warranty) but they would only replace the faulty one. I'm getting a quote from them for the other side.
Its booked in for Tuesday week for the suspension work and the new drivers door electric window switches replacement.
