Hi all,

After 17 years and 77,000 miles of impeccable behaviour, I believe my engine has seized. Best guess would be bent rod after injector failure but haven’t completely ruled out something less dramatic yet.

Given it will likely therefore need opening up and rebuilding, can anybody recommend a good garage I can have the car transported to?

Thanks in advance.
Lee

Have just seen the list at top of this forum so apologies for being crap at searching!

If there are specific recommendations however given above, please let me know.

SPR Autos are very highly rated when it comes to Mercs, however they are generally fully booked. Might be worth a call.

Thanks, had seen a couple of their videos. Gave them a quick call but got the 'not taking on any new customers' message.

Have you tried Autoclass in Milton Keynes.
Bit further away but well regarded

B&W Automotive in Letchworth.

I use them for my W212 E500.

James at BW on the case, incredibly helpful and generous with his time on a call. Thanks!

Give Phil Crouch a call. One of the best engine guys around. Bases in Amersham.
