Hi,

My Audi S4 was written off, yesterday, so I need a replacement. I like the look of the C43 (c 2016-2020 or so). A few on Autotrader and PH, but not many.

Are there any MB specialists who might carry some decent quality stock? Buying from a specialist would help my peace of mind.

I am in the East Midlands, but willing to travel.

Thanks in advance,

David

if you can find one at a MB you'll get a 2 year AMG Warranty with the car

Ive still got a year left on my car - defo worth it for peace of mind

it has to be of a certain grade to be sold by them so you know you getting a decent one

Sadly the authorized MB stock looks to be rather newer and more expensive than I am looking at.

With Jaguar, Porsche etc, there are a number of garages specialising in the marque for sales. I was hoping there would be something similar for MB.
I know there used to be Mercland in Nuneaton, but they seem to only do servicing, these days.

MSL in Brum, Mercland in Nuneaton, or Prestige Performance in Nottingham. All Merc specialists, often have C43s come through and they know the cars properly. Give them a ring.

£25k seems the absolute bottom end for a 2019 one, which I suspect is the oldest they'd do.

Are there not reputable third-party warranties out there that would bridge the gap between an indy dealer and MB?

The C43 doesn't seem to suffer from major issues. Obviously, any car can give you shocking bills, but on the whole, they seem ok if maintained

Thanks for the suggestions.

Prestige in Yorkshire don't seem to have any Merc's in, at the moment (can't find one in Nottingham during my google search).
Both the Mercland and MSL websites only now show servicing etc, but no sales.

After market warranty is a decent shout, particularly if I buy from a general car sales outfit.

I'd prefer to buy from a Merc specialist, who know the stock they are buying in, rather than a general car sales firm, dealing in Fords, BMW, VW, Toyota etc etc.
There don't seem to be any such Merc sales outfits, surprisingly.

It might be too far for you, but this company have been going for quite a while; the family used to be the MB main dealers in the Surrey area. I've no connection to them and never used them but they seem to have a good reputation. If nothing else, they might be happy to chat and 'signpost', as people seem to say these days.

Thank you, Tarquin MX5, that is just what I have been looking for.
I shall bookmark it to check on their stock updates, as nothing suitable in stock, just now.

I don't know for sure, but judging from their stock over the years, and some of the registration numbers, I suspect that they might still have contacts either in MB, or perhaps in some MB dealers/groups as far as sourcing stock is concerned. They might have an inside track if you couldn't find anything suitable elsewhere, although that approach would likely knock any discount on the head! I'm fairly sure they've had C43s before, but not positive, although if you're looking at 2018 it might be down to dealer/ customer p/exs rather than MB stock.

I've just remembered another one that I've passed whilst in their part of the world, but it's even further away from you. Again, no personal knowledge but they've been there for many years. From memory, their stock tended to be slightly older.

I purchased from Tim Purslow. ( only an e220) but I was most impressed with the set up. The car was absolutely immaculate and faultless. Service wash first class . Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

I've just spent 10 minutes interrogating the 'video flythrough' on their homepage. I am still not sure if it is an oddly flown drone or CGI. I do these sorts of things as my job, and there are parts which im 100% sure are CGI, but some feel real. With AI, I suppose CGI can be a lot more convincing whilst still not feeling 'real'.

Oh, and nice stock too. No C43 at the moment unfortunately
